Our Leadership team
Daryl’s introduction to education started in 1987, and since then he has made a mark heading several notable student counselling and migration organisations all over the world. His stellar career saw Daryl travel all over the greater South East Asian region, East Asia, Europe and the Middle East in setting up offices, training staff, instituting operational excellence and maximising revenue on behalf of a number of leading organisations within the international student placement industry. He has a wide range of interests that vary from horticulture, personal fitness and travel. Daryl holds a Certificate in Business Analytics from Singapore Polytechnic, a M.Sc. (Operations Research) from Sheffield Hallam University, a B.Sc. (Honours) in Pure and Applied Mathematics from the University of Tasmania and is an associate member of the Australian Mathematical Society.
Bringing over a decade of invaluable experience in financial leadership across diverse industries and a proven track record in driving strategic objectives and maximizing financial performance, James is the perfect addition our global leadership team.His expertise in overseeing successful IPOs, expanding market share, and establishing innovative business ventures underscores his ability to navigate complex financial landscapes with finesse. James's dynamic approach to financial planning and execution aligns seamlessly with AECC's vision for sustainable growth and innovation. Outside the world of numbers, James finds joy in the simple things - getting lost in a good book, teeing off on the golf course, and taking leisurely walks along the beach with his furry companion, Georgie. Originally hailing from South Africa, James now proudly calls Australia home.
Born in Hong Kong, Henry migrated to Australia with his family back in the mid-90s, grew up in Perth, Western Australia, and now calls Melbourne home (the world’s most liveable city). Henry has over 16 years of experience in the education sector. Specialising in operational management and business improvement, he is devoted to growing student placement, migration and visa segments of the business. His commitment and outlook to business growth is second only, to a desire to provide exceptional customer service to new and existing international students- a philosophy he brings to his business strategy and ethos. He enjoys working with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Outside work, Henry’s interests see him frequently in the kitchen exploring the next great recipe, working out, travelling and watching documentaries – particularly those narrated by David Attenborough and those that explore themes raised by the late Stephen Hawking. Henry holds a B.Com. in Marketing & e-Commerce from Curtin University and an MBA from Monash University.
Victor, as Country Head for AECC in Jakarta, Indonesia, brings a wealth of experience to his role, marked by leadership in renowned organizations. His expertise in account management, marketing, and operations management underscores his ability to drive growth and innovation. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Victor embodies a holistic approach to well-being. He's not just passionate about running; he's actively chasing his dream of competing in a marathon, fueled by a desire to test his limits and achieve something special. His adventurous spirit extends far beyond the gym, drawing him to embark on solo journeys that push him outside his comfort zone. These experiences have shaped Victor into a versatile and adaptable leader, ready to navigate any challenge with resilience and courage.

At AECC, he has spearheaded initiatives that have reshaped AECC and our teams around the world. From founding and scaling technology teams to overseeing the development of EdTech platform StudyReach , Jake's leadership has been instrumental in driving growth and cultivating innovation at AECC and StudyReach. Jake's has a proud track record of implementing successful business transformation strategies, securing private equity investments and establishing key partnerships. His proficiency in stakeholder management and business strategy has been pivotal in navigating AECC through complex challenges and ensuring sustained growth. With over a decade of experience, including roles as Country Head and Head of Business Development, she has navigated the organization towards remarkable growth and success. Khoo's contributions include fostering strong partnerships and driving innovative initiatives, all while inspiring her team to excel. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Khoo finds joy in diverse hobbies, including the cerebral challenge of puzzling and the enriching experiences of travel. Jonathan, as Country Director for the Philippines and Vietnam at AECC, embodies strategic leadership and operational excellence. With an impressive tenure spanning over eight years, Jonathan's journey reflects his commitment to driving growth and innovation. His roles, including Country Head and Manager of Student Services during his past experience, demonstrate his dedication to fostering educational opportunities in the region. Jonathan currently oversees the overall operations across multiple offices, showcasing his adeptness at managing diverse teams and stakeholders. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jonathan loves to travel and explore new places in the Philippines, enjoys listening to relaxing music, landscaping, and communing with nature through hiking and glamping. Jonathan, with his diverse skill set and passion for both professional excellence and personal enrichment, plays a pivotal role in AECC's mission in the Philippines and Vietnam.
Doug brings a fresh perspective to leading strategic transitions and driving transformation. With over 20 years of executive experience leading large-scale product and technology teams in marketplace businesses, he enjoys inspiring those teams to achieve impactful outcomes by solving important customer and business problems. He also has a passion for helping people at scale in making high quality career and education decisions, which was nurtured over a 6-year period in a previous role leading a portfolio of digital businesses. Doug holds an MBA from the Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, where he solidified his expertise in business strategy and engineering. Known for his collaborative spirit and love for playing the trumpet, he approaches every task with enthusiasm and determination.
Based in New Delhi, Ankur is responsible for steering the operations and enabling the smooth functioning of AECC Study Abroad Consultants in India. Having had first-hand experience as an international student, Ankur’s understanding of student needs combined with his ability to drive integrated marketing communications and develop business strategies, helped him start his professional career with the efficient setting up of the operations of AECC Study Abroad Consultants in India. Since then, Ankur has been closely working with the team in the back-end and successfully managing the Marketing and Finance functions of AECC Study Abroad Consultants in the country. Ankur was brought up in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he completed his entire schooling before permanently moving to New Delhi where he completed his bachelor’s education. He holds an M.Sc. in International Management from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
Ajit Singh brings over a decade of experience in strategic leadership and business development to AECC Nepal as Operational Director. With a proven track record in sales, network development, and business expansion, Ajit has held pivotal roles at previous organizations in various sectors. Armed with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Calicut and an MBA in International Business, his leadership saw him driving regional growth and managing channel partners. Notable achievements include overseeing dealership expansions, training sales teams, and executing marketing strategies. Ajit's passion for cricket, travel, and motivational literature mirrors his dynamic approach to problem-solving and team development. His rich experience translates into strategic insights crucial for AECC's operational success and growth trajectory.
